She Knows is reporting that the actress who is best known for her portrayal of Luan Volein on the soap opera “The Young and the Restless” has passed away. Elizabeth Sung, age 63, died on Tuesday (May 22), but no cause of her death has been reported. In addition to her role as a restaurant owner on the CBS daytime drama, Sung was in a number of television shows including “Bones” and “Hawaii Five-O.” She also had a career in film, starring in “The Joy Luck Club,” “Anita Ho,” “Memoirs of a Geisha,” “White Rabbit,” and “Front Cover.” The veteran TV and movie actress will be missed by those who enjoyed her work.

From 1994 to 1996, Elizabeth Sung portrayed Asain restaurant owner Luan Volein on “The Young and the Restless.” This is the role that the actress is best known for.
