Man found naked, partially shaved after breaking into Boulder barbershop, police say

A man was arrested early Friday morning after police say he broke into a barbershop, took off all his clothes, tried to give himself a haircut, and then flooded the room.

Jeffrey Palmer, 30, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary, felony criminal mischief and second-degree criminal tampering.

According to a police report, officers were sent to the Great Clips at 2711 Arapahoe Ave. at 2:30 a.m. Friday after a report of a man who had broken into the shop through a window.

Because they were responding to a break-in, two officers entered with guns drawn while another went in with a stun gun drawn and found Palmer inside completely naked.

Palmer was placed under arrest without incident and taken to Boulder Community Health‘s Foothills Hospital because he had multiple bandages and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Police found that Palmer had turned on one of the sinks at one of the stations, and water was now flooding the business, with up to 2 inches of water in some places. They also noticed that Palmer had shaved parts of his head, and found the hair inside the business.

Palmer remains at the Boulder County Jail as he awaits a setting of bond on Friday. He has previous convictions for theft, felony menacing and disorderly conduct in Boulder.
